Collection: FALL 2026

Another summer has again passed too swiftly to fully be enjoyed but damned if we didn’t give it our best efforts. The barbeques were mighty tasty, the fiestas were met with open embraces, and the times with our families and friends were lively and full of love. Fall has formally left both of us as empty nesters free birders with Oliver now at college. (OK, not fully since Kaj has a fantastic gig with UGG and we encouraged him to save some money and live at home for a bit.) 

At first glance this case looks almost too traditional. Oregon Pinot Noir, Italian Barolo. Spanish Tempranillo. German Riesling. Even a South African Chardonnay.  But, with each of these you will undoubtedly taste the reasons why they are classics but also wonder why it took so long for their inclusion in a case. On the other side, as Kompas Club members you also knew we wouldn’t have just a bunch of classics.  We had to dig to find some real gems.  We hit the motherlode. In this round we take you to the country of Georgia, the literal birthplace for wine, and give you a fascinating taste of history and of a passion of winemakers holding steadfast to that history. We have domestic winemakers going out on a vine to bring old world obscure varietals to delicious life in new world vineyards. So upon reflection, this is just a classic Kompas Wine Club case after all.
