An earthly paradise nestled in the French Alps, Les Rocailles is owned and managed by boyhood friends and native Savoyards Guillaume Durand and Alban Thouroude. The well-exposed, South/Southeast-facing hillside vineyards are situated on the lower slopes of Mont Granier and are dominated by stony, clay/limestone soils. The wine is made from 100% Jacquère grapes from sustainably grown vines that average 40+ years old. Likened to a mountain stream, the barely pale yellow wine is delicate and feather-light and offers green apples, flowers and wet rocks on the nose. The sense of stream continues on your palate with its dry and crystalline finish. Enjoy on its own on a warm evening, or pair with cheese (can you say fondue!) or simple fish, chicken, or pasta dishes.
