Most wine drinkers in the US are familiar with Sancerre whites made from Sauvignon Blanc and and their characteristic lemony and rocky flavors. Sancerre Rosés are made with Pinot Noir, however, and though the fruit flavors are therefore different the rocky minerality remains. The Raimbault family has been growing grapes or producing wine in Sancerre for ten generations.
